CT NEWINGTON — Newington subcommittee unanimously votes to recommend disbanding three town committees. The Boards and Commissions Review Subcommittee approved a motion by Councilor Kelly deHaas and Deputy Mayor Kim Radda to dissolve the Affordable Age-Restricted Housing Study Committee, Newington Housing Needs Study Committee, and Permanent Municipal Building Commission Ordinance Review Subcommittee, each having completed its work. The committees were established in 2006, 2014, and 2024, with the housing needs committee delivering its study in February 2015 and the ordinance review leading to adoption of Ordinance 2325-04 in May 2025.

The subcommittee also reviewed other committees, noting future disbandment candidates among project building committees.
