CT NEWINGTON — Newington planning board approved three major development petitions. Commissioners cleared the way for Kids Strong, a 3,750-square-foot gymnastics facility at 1581 Southeast Road, and approved a liquor permit for Sloppy Waffle LLC at 2551 Berlin Turnpike, allowing the restaurant to serve brunch beverages including mimosas and sangria. The commission also approved a height modification for GKN Aerospace Newington to install a 34-foot argon tank at its manufacturing facility on Louis Street.
All three approvals were unanimous, with seven commissioners voting in favor.
