Newington surveys residents on town manager qualities
The Newington Town Council is asking residents for anonymous input on the qualities, experience and leadership skills they want in the next town manager, with the survey closing Oct. 30.
The Newington Town Council announced Oct. 28 that it is seeking resident input on the qualities, experience and leadership skills important for the town's next town manager.
The town said the survey is strictly anonymous and will not record respondents' names or contact information. While Google Forms collects respondents' IP addresses, the town said those addresses are used only for Google's internal purposes and are never shared with the survey's creator or readers.
Responses will be reported to the Town Council to help inform the town manager search process, and the results will be made public once the survey closes. The town asked residents to answer candidly, noting there are no right or wrong answers, and to avoid including personal or identifying information in open-ended responses. The survey takes no more than 10 minutes to complete and closes Oct. 30.
Residents who want to provide non-anonymous input can email comments to tmsearch@newingtonct.gov or attend an upcoming Town Council meeting to speak during public participation.
