CT NEWINGTON — The Newington Library Renovations/Additions Project Building Committee tabled approval of prior minutes and redirected its strategy away from a formal Town Council presentation toward a public outreach campaign. Committee member Kristopher Riley reported he had notified the Town Council of the postponement on September 4. The board and Library Board will share information about the library renovation and solicit community input at the Waterfall Festival on October 3 and through a grant-writing partnership exploring funding opportunities.
The architect remains under contract to provide a second, updated presentation to Town Council at a future date. One committee member, Ms. Ramos-Rios, may be resigning; a prospective new member is in the nomination process.
