CT NEWINGTON — The Library Board of Trustees unanimously nominated long-time member Iris Larsson to an emeritus position, which carries no voting rights but permits previous board members to offer guidance and support. Library Director Lisa Masten reported hiring Joanna Cistulli as Digital Services Librarian and completing staffing transitions that included Michelle Patnode's move to Head of Reference and three new Circulation Substitutes. Treasurer LeeAnn Manke said the library held $1,553,625.54 as of February 28, 2026, with funds split 37.5 percent restricted and 62.5 percent unrestricted.
The library will install a new software system, Polaris, in June; the old patron app stops functioning April 7.
