CT NEWINGTON — The Lucy Robbins Welles Library Board of Trustees unanimously approved up to $55,000 to repair the deteriorating Churchill door. Board Treasurer LeeAnn Manke moved the motion, seconded by George Bernocco, noting that grant funds will likely offset costs and that a February contract signing would allow the project to begin in spring with an 8 to 12 week timeline. The board also unanimously donated $100 toward a Friends Winterfest gift basket and extended corporate board positions to Melissa Haseley and Joanne Massey.
Assistant Library Director Jennifer Hebert reported the arrival of new library hotspot devices and the hiring of Michelle Patnode as Head of Reference.
