CT NEWINGTON — Newington EMS Committee elected Edward Noivo Chairperson and William McCarthy Vice Chairperson in unanimous votes on January 15, displacing outgoing leadership. The committee approved a quarterly meeting schedule for 2026 and voted to create a Service Contract between the Town and Newington EMS, with Matt D'Esposito abstaining due to his position on the NEMS Board. American Medical Response reported Priority 1 compliance ranging from 90 to 98 percent and Priority 2 compliance from 92 to 97 percent across October, November, and December 2025, all exceeding the 90 percent gold standard.
The AMR contract expires June 30, 2026, and will be reviewed at the April meeting.
