CT NEWINGTON — The Newington Town Plan and Zoning Commission heard a pre-application review for a proposed industrial zone change at 180 Carr Avenue. Applicant Kevin Sisti, with attorney Matt Cholewa, outlined plans for small service-bay buildings, citing steep topography and Eversource transmission lines as reasons residential use is unsuitable. Chairman Stanley Sobieski and commissioners raised concerns about site access and Eversource requirements and advised consultation with New Britain before formal application.

The commission also received a liquor sales permit petition for Kingdom Buffet and advanced its timeline for implementing state housing-growth regulations.
